My eye is drawn to the exceeding beauty of simplicity in nature. Scenes that are there for every eye to see, but when framed, come to life. By capturing my images, I hope to invite individuals to discover nature themselves and let their eyes be drawn to the beauty of silence.

In my downtime, I love to take long walks, mostly in the dune areas of the Netherlands. This is where I look for stories in landscapes. It is these stories that I try to capture in my images.

As a photographer, I don't focus on expensive gear or on shooting the perfect technical picture. For me, photography is a reflection of how I feel when I press the shutter. It translates to where I point my camera, and to when I decide to take the picture.

I primarily shoot black and white 35mm and 120mm film, which I love to develop myself. It gives me artistic freedom and provides me with a sense of connection to my images. A connection that I experience with the subject while I'm shooting and which I hope viewers are able to experience when viewing my images.
